Day 13 and I wanted to let you know how it’s going! I honestly can’t thank you enough. I am so far managing to listen to my rational mind and not allow that inner cave man to trigger me! I know it’s early days but I do feel liberated.

Stress and Anxiety

Low mood and anxiety
I contacted Iona as I was experiencing low mood and anxiety which was impacting on my work and life. Following a few months of hypnotherapy my mood has improved and I have greater confidence than before. I always felt as if I had no control over my thoughts and that my mind controlled me. I am now able to identify negative thoughts when they arise and counteract them with positivity. I honestly didn’t think I could ever feel this positive having had mental health problems for over 25 years. It has transformed my life. Good mental health still requires work and effort, but I feel I now have the tools to manage this moving forward and to ‘paint my future with joy and happiness’.

“Hypnotherapy was a mystery to me, and I really wasn’t sure about whether it could help me, but I am a curious person, so I went into my first appointment with an open mind. I am so glad I did, as the outcome has been astounding for me. More than counselling alone has been previously.
Iona put me at ease straight away and after an overview of hypnotherapy and of me, we explored aspect of me and my life we should work on. I chose confidence because many years of mental illness and ill-health had robbed me of all confidence.
The sessions have a structure, so you know what to expect each week. We explored confidence and what it means to me, and each session focused on exactly that. I learned about the three Ps of positivity and how my confidence ties in with the methodology.
The hypnotherapy aspect of each appointment was a breath of fresh air. Settle down, relax and listen to Iona take me on a journey of exploration. Iona’s voice is beautifully relaxing and makes trusting the process a breeze. The theme of confidence ran throughout the hypnotherapy and helped me so much to develop exactly that.
The aspect of the appointment that was most profound for me was rating my feeling of confidence in different scenarios and seeing a score. After just three sessions, my score shot up the chart and from there onward I saw a steady growth. This encouraged me so much and just seeing this improved my confidence. There were, of course, dips along the way, but that’s life, but growth continued throughout. I was able to experience real confidence out in the real world and deal with situations I had never done for many years.
Hypnotherapy has changed my life for the better, without a doubt. My quality of life has improved, as has my resilience. I can now take on new experiences with confidence and feel real joy seeing how much I have grown over the months of hypnotherapy. I apply what I have learned in the real world and now my life is a happier place.

Phobia
I worked with Iona on a terrible phobia and the results were positively incredible. Not only am I confident in dealing with my fear but I’m utilising what I learned in our sessions in other areas of my life too. Iona is professional, knowledgeable, understanding and compassionate.
Stress
On first meeting Iona I was very nervous and didn’t really know what to expect. But she made me feel very calm and explained what we were doing in a very clear and precise way.
As the weeks went on I started to relax see how bad a position I was really in and how much improvements we were making. It just goes to show meeting the right person with the right skill set listening to them and putting the effort in yourself I never thought I would feel or be in the position I am today.
I can’t recommend or speak highly enough of Iona in a professional way and as a person she really has changed my life in a massive way.
Negative thinking
Iona has changed my life around. I was not confident and I was just thinking about negatives all the time. Iona changed my way of thinking. At first I thought this is not for me but I gave it a couple of sessions. I have now just done 12 sessions and am loving life with the help from Iona. I would highly recommend her, for me she was a lifesaver, thank you Iona.
Negative thinking
At first I wasn’t 100% sure that hypnotherapy was the answer to my mental health problems. I got that wrong and it does work.
Wish I had done it a lot sooner than I did. Iona is brilliant at what she does. Always pushing me for 1 more positive from my week that helped me realise there are more positives in my life than I realise.
I have the tools now to keep me on the right track. Can’t thank Iona enough for everything she has helped me achieve. Would highly recommend booking sessions with her.
Anxiety
Iona is simply superb. From start to finish her calm approach and positive mindset was inspirational.
In fact, so much so that I feel as a result of her sessions, every day I honestly feel so much more calmer and positive and that is really thanks to Iona. Not only did Iona’s explanation help of how the repetitive (and what seems relentless) negative side of the brain works, especially when our stress gets too much but also the hypnotherapy too. Both have been invaluable and life changing.
I honestly cannot recommend Iona enough. I wish I had seen her years ago. Thank you, Iona, you are truly special for helping people.
