Sleep

SleepWe should never underestimate the importance of sleep to both our physical and mental wellbeing. If you find it difficult getting to sleep, or that you’re waking up in the night, or even wanting to sleep too much it can be debilitating.

Insomnia is defined by the NHS as meaning “you have regular problems sleeping. It usually gets better by changing your sleeping habits” According to the NHS, “it’s thought that about a third of Brits will have episodes of insomnia at some point, the causes can include physical conditions, psychological conditions (such as depression or anxiety) or a combination of both”.

A change in sleep can happen for a number of reasons. It can be caused by stress, anxiety, depression, illness or other causes.

You can find yourself waking in the middle of the night and not being able to go back to sleep. Alternatively, you can simply find it difficult to get to sleep in the first place. Others find they just simply want to sleep all day and struggle to get up and out of bed. Whatever the sleep issue is, it can make the rest of your day challenging as you can feel tired, suffer from lack of concentration and perhaps have a short temper.

Hypnotherapy can help with insomnia and sleep issues by enabling relaxation just prior to sleep. This can have a beneficial effect for some people and help them to overcome insomnia. Every client is different, for some the change can be immediate or sometimes take a little longer, it all depends on what issues you have in your surrounding life.

Hypnotherapy can help you to improve your sleep patterns and reset your body clock.
