Terms & Conditions

Commitment:
Hypnotherapy is a treatment which relies on the commitment of both client and therapist to see the best results. As the client, when you agree to undertake a course of therapy you agree to fully engage with the process and listen to the relaxation download at the appropriate times.

Therapy Sessions & Fees:
Each standard session lasts approximately 50 minutes to one hour and the agreed fee per session is as stated on my fees page. Fees are payable in advance by bank transfer. Fees may be subject to change from time to time, but any change will be agreed between us. By undertaking a course of therapy, you accept that I cannot guarantee the therapeutic outcome and fees are payable in consideration of my time and expertise, regardless of the outcome.

Appointments:
You also commit to attending scheduled appointments as your attendance shows your commitment to on-going therapy.

Cancellation policy:
If you do need to cancel an appointment, please ensure that you give at least 24 hour’s notice via telephone, text, or email. If an appointment is cancelled within 24 hours the full fee will be payable unless exceptional circumstances apply. I reserve the right to cancel an appointment at my sole discretion, however, will do so only in the most exceptional circumstances and as much notice as is possible will be given. I cannot accept liability for any financial or other consequences of the cancellation.

Late Arrival:
If you are running late, please let me know as soon as possible. I will endeavour to make the full session available, although this will depend on subsequent client bookings. If your session must be cut short due to your late arrival the full fee will be applicable.

Privacy:
Record keeping is an essential part of any treatment. Records are kept for every client I provide therapy for. Only essential information for your care will be recorded, in both paper and electronic format. I will protect personal information by reasonable security measures against loss, theft, unauthorised access, disclosure, copying, use or modification. At no time will your email address or contact details be sold, or otherwise distributed to any third party.

Confidentiality:
At all times, I will keep as confidential all information recorded and use it only for the purpose which it was given. I will only use information about you to continue your care or for purposes which you have given your specific permission to use it.

Exceptions to this include:
If you reveal you intend to harm yourself or another person.
If you reveal that a child is being or is in danger of abuse.
If you reveal you are a member of a terrorist organisation – This must be reported to the police.
If you reveal you are laundering money from the sale of drugs – This must be reported to the police.
If I am compelled to reveal information by a court order.

To ensure continued best practice, I receive regular clinical supervision of my work with clients. During supervision it may be necessary to review your therapy although any reference that could enable your identification is removed.

Standards of Behaviour:
I undertake to provide therapy for you with respect and not to abuse the trust you place in me. I will use best practice at all times in our mutual interest. In return, you undertake not to harm yourself, or any other person, including me, or any property belonging to myself or any other person. You agree not to come to sessions under the influence of alcohol or drugs other than those prescribed by a medical doctor. If you do attend a session under the influence of alcohol or un-prescribed drugs, or demonstrate violent/abusive behaviour, I reserve the right to cancel the session and refuse any further sessions.
